Sunita — I Just Got Married

Life has its own plan.

I met Sunita during the Portrait Project, where I'd set up a table and invited passersby to sit for a quick interview and a portrait (done later in the studio). I asked her to tell a story. She told me that she had just gotten married. She had planned on a civil ceremony, but it ended up being a full family wedding with an officiant and all.

At the end of the story, Sunita told me that you can plan all you want, but that "Life has its own plan," and you have to go with it. I wanted to capture that resilient spirit in the drawing.
